It is amazing that there's so many books of all kinds - definitely something for everyone. Friendly and enthusiastic clientele. I wanted to rate higher but had to deduct for two reasons. First, things are barely organized. It doesn't need to be perfect but I had trouble even finding fiction vs. history sections - you literally have to look at book spines and try to figure out where you are at. Second, some stuff seemed overpriced. Some rare books in good shape are fair, but even some small outdated items in mediocre shape were still $8-$12. That being said, there are some good $5 items to be found (if you're able to spend the time looking). Overall, an interesting bookstore worth a visit, but not for everyone.
This is the king of used books stores. Nothing else quite like it. The selection is huge and the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. It can be hot or cold, depending on the season, but don't let that stop you. Must be seen to be believed.
