He was very disrespectful to me. He has no respect for women that knows nothing about cars.
The guy that worked the front counter Saturday morning was a total ass hole. He came in to work with an attitude, guess he was made because he had Customers waiting before her arrived.
Paul Peckonis Is A Awesome Manager and Person He is very reliable and knows what he is doing and cares about his customers he is not just about making the money he also makes sure the customer is taken care of and leaves with the smile on there face and keeps coming back Thank you so much
Fast forward to the current ownership, I came in with an oil leak and it was a pretty labor intensive repair. They let me know that I may want to get my timing belt changed since they are half-way to the timing belt with this repair. I hate when I go to a mechanic with one problem and they tell me I need to also repair x, y, and z (because I'm a woman). But my car is quite old and I have no idea when the timing belt was last done so it actually seemed like a plausible rationale. It was expensive, but not as expensive as one would expect for a timing belt and another repair. They also did an oil change for me as an extra for free. Then next time I came in for an oil change, I was told it's on the house again because of the expensive repair last time. I was very pleased with that gesture.
This Meineke changed owners 3 times in the last 2 years since I moved to the neighborhood and so far I've had the best experience with the last /current owner. When it was under one of the past ownerships, while getting an oil change, I was told I need to get my breaks and rotors done ASAP because they will fail any day and it's dangerous. I had my guy friend come and take a look and he said it's not urgent by any means and that he can do them for me. When I got my car inspected two weeks later, my car passed the inspection with those same breaks.
Then he answered the phone in the middle of me talking to himand had a full convo while myself and others are standing there.
This guy needs to be taught Customer service. Be needs training. He needs to leave his problems at home.
He got made at made because i didn't know what was wrong with my car. All i know is how to put gas in the car. Sir that is what I'm here for a diagnostic test. I'm here for you to tell me what's wrong with my car.
Paul is the best. He took the time to get an extremely thorough description of what was going on with my car (to the best of my knowledge) and why I was there. He personally drove around with me in the car to make sure he was understanding my concerns correctly. He did his best to minimize my expenses and was very generous. He also was always friendly and mild-mannered even when the shop was crazy busy. Jason did a great job working with the car as well. I went from thinking my car was dead and finished to being able to drive it 16 hours cross country with no issues. As long as Paul is at 48th and Spruce that will be where I take my car while living in W Philadelphia.
Paul is so awesome. He knows me by name; I trust him and his people. Always willing to help out a loyal customer.
