You cannot get a campground closer to Philadelphia than this place. Free shuttle is awesome.
We just stayed here for 5 days. It's all about the location...it was perfect! It's close to the city; we were able to drive in and park without a problem. There was electricity and water hookups, dump station on the premises, and the space we were in was level. The parking lot backs up to Homeland Security, so there is an electric fence (beware dog owners and young kids). The bathrooms had one shower, which was clean, and restrooms. The people that checked us in and out were awesome! They provided us with everything we needed to know about public transportation, nearby attractions, and helped with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend if you want to be close to the city.
Not the cleanest or most welcoming place to stay BUT if you are looking for a reasonable and secure place to park your trailer and go site seeing- this is the place for you! It is like a urban campground which is pretty much a parking lot. The shuttle service is awesome
Staff is friendly. Shower is small And there is only one men's and women's shower. You put up with that for the convenience of the location.
I was surprised that it was pretty good for urban camping. The shuttle takes you right to the hospital and drops you right where the bus to the city stops. The guy in the office was super nice. One night we got back late and had to call for pickup. It only took 5 minutes. Public transport in philly was great because driving is tough.
