Cannot accept payments on weekends. No weekend membership service hours. Stopped at front desk and was told it was my responsibility to maintain an active membership when I have been permitted to enter for the last several weeks despite my membership being 'expired.' What do you expect when the place is run by a bunch of students?
Plenty of cardio equipment/weights/group classes, generally very clean, can get very crowded. The student staff is hit or miss with how helpful they are with information or enforcing rules, and the membership desk is only available for a select amount of hours on weekdays only. Overall a good value for what's available.
This gym is OK. They are missing lots of common gym equipment. What's worse is that they charge the general public $50 per month, but when the students leave for holiday, they operate under reduced hours, as a result I have less than an hour to work out after I arrive from work due to them closing at 8pm on weekdays which is absurd. If they are going to charge $50 per month, and be open to the general public, they should NOT operate based on the student calendar. Will not be renewing my membership.
Hands down the best gym in Philly. This gym has something for everyone at any fitness level. There is an indoor track, a basketball court, squash courts, indoor pool and tons of fitness machines including free weights. There are also fitness studios for classes and a rock climbing wall.
Four squat rack although only two bench presses. Plenty of free weights, machines, and cardio equipment.
I've tried other gyms across the city, including a popular chain and the offerings just do not compare. I would recommend stopping by for a tour.
