I'm an American history buff, hence the 5 stars. The new museum is beautiful and almost complete. There is room for growth. Mostly everything you'd like to know about the Revolution can be found there. Lots of artifacts, paintings and such. If you enjoy American history, it's well worth your time. I'll go back.

This review is for museum of American Revolution nearby...19 dollar admission using timed tickets feels a bit much. Beautiful 138 million dollar just opened museum, smells and looks new. Bathrooms spotless, gift shop state of the art...but that not why you came right??? Feels lonely and not enough to see and do. Seeing everything in the place and reading every exhibit and watching every film takes about 2.5 hours total. Tight focus on revolutionary war history. Nice multimedia presentation on Washington's war tent...otherwise? (Shrugs shoulders...)

The park itself which include different thing is Nice. The visitors center was undergoing renovations but still open. We got a bad tour guide for Independence Hall. Luck of the draw I guess. He was knowledgeable, but not the kind of person is expect to see greeting & showing the public around at such a busy national attraction that really belongs to ALL of us. It was a must see. We were able to tour & hear about an additional floor that isn't open during the busy season. Lots of amazing history!!

Have fun!

The tour takes about a half an hour. The federal Park Rangers that give the tour are very informative. Some much more interesting than others, so feel free to go back again to get a different perspective.

It’s a wonderful environment, everything is nicely preserved. 70% of the wood inside of the building is actually from the 1700 which is kind of mind bobbling! This is part of our roots as a county so it’s definitely a must see place. The tour is also free! And the tour guides are nice and friendly and explain each detail.

If you want tickets for the tour you must go to the visitor center (Use the restroom there! The other public access restrooms in the area are crowded and terrible). They are free but first come first serve and run out quickly especially on busy days.

Bring a camera. You will be standing in the room where the most important man-made documents in history were devised and ratified.
