Amazing! And very exclusive. Best house made sauce Ive ever had. Pizza is baked in a 18ft deep brick gas oven. Must call in advance to 'reserve' a pie. Very well made and delicious pizza. Highly recommend!!
Walked in with a date on a Sunday afternoon. We didn't have a reservation but they were kind enough to squeeze us in.
You can never go wrong with pizza. This place is small, but mighty. Their pizzas are unique and incredibly flavorful. My favorite pizza is the San Marzano tomato. It's so simple and extremely delicious. The salads are refreshing. Generally a good selection of beer.
Fun, historical pizzeria with only one menu item - pizza! Don't come here expecting anything else. Pizza is thin and crispy and very tasty. Takes a long time to prepare, and dough must be ordered hours (yes, hours) in advance of arrival. Callan itself Best In The City - while this is undoubtedly debatable, Tacconelli's is worth experiencing at least once before the dark reaper claims your vitality.
Soooo good!!! I love Tacconelli's! Call ahead on Wednesday to reserve your dough. You can't just walk in on a Saturday night. You have to have reservations. The place is not fancy at all, but that is definitely part of it's charm (picture a local VFW, but with banging pizza)
Don't let the unremarkable interior fool you -- this pizza is top notch. We went with spinach and red pepper. Pizza is served thin crust style, loaded with toppings (but still very much able to be eaten with hands), and is delicious. Service was lightning fast and friendly. Would definitely go back again.
