Despite confirmed reservation they refused to rent a car just because I had debit card. It was not an issue in Alamo Miami, but here in Philadelphia they have different policy. Manager didn't help. I even received an email with confirmation from Alamo, which says that debit card is allowed. I had to use Hertz services, but it was twice as expensive. It was too late for train or bus, because I had a flight from NY a few hours later. I definitely not recommend Alamo Philadelphia Airport.

Plus when I took the car I noted there was a scratch and dent on the right bumper and I’m glad that I didn’t leave the lot until I got it documented and signed by them because when I got back the next day the were trying to claim that scratch through my insurance and when I insisted and showed the manager the signed paper they told me not to worry about it and they will not file a claim through my insurance.

I never had a worst experience renting a car.

Be careful when you rent a car and find a better company

With Alamo Insiders I got a small discount on the rental. I had a little bit of a wait at the Philadelphia airport but it wasn't too bad. I was able to check in online prior to arriving so that I could skip the counter and just choose my car and go to the exit cashier. There was a very helpful guy around when I got off the shuttle at the car lot who helped me choose my car and showed me how it worked. When I exited I did not receive any paperwork, which concerned me a bit. The car description said the car would have a CD player but it didn't. But otherwise the car (compact SUV) was nice.

I really love renting from Alamo car rental. I just recently rented a car from them. I went to go pick it up. Alamo side wasn't no one there on that side so I have to go on National side. I will never do that. The woman did something in the computer and my bill was 700.00. When I came back I spoke to Alamo rep. They took care of it and put it back at the price it said it was going to be. One thing I like about Alamo the know how to keep their customers happy. Thank you Alamo

Ended up with a nearly new BMW X3! Upon starting the car (while still in the Alamo lot) I received a low tire warning, with a note that said okay to drive up to 80 mph. So I left the lot and then discovered I could barely see out of the passenger side window and mirror. Using hotel paper towels I cleaned the window & mirror. A day later while driving up the turnpike, I received a "low left rear tire" warning with instructions to slowly come to a stop. I continued to the Morgantown Service Plaza and added air to the tire, which was then fine for the remainder of my rental period. Upon turning in the car, I was asked how I liked the car to which I explained the above. Told him, I am not complaining (cause I actually enjoyed the car) but was simply commenting on the lack of cleanliness and poor maintenance of the car. One of their employees parked that car in the 'ready lot' despite the above issues. The young man graciously discounted my bill, even though I said it was not necessary.

The second time was bettert they upgrade my car for me. They really know how to correct a mistake that was made by them.

My first experience with Alamo was a mess. I made my reservation to pick up a car at 6:30. I was there at 6 am. When I talk to somebody that work for Alamo they told me that I can use a debit card. When I got there they told me that only way I can use a debit card was if I was out of town. Then I had to wait til my bank open to apply for a secure credit card. I received my card. Then I went all the way back to Alamo to pick up the car. I picked up the car at 11:20am. I had to be in Florida by 11:00pm that night. I didn't make it.

The agent was rude and unprofessional.
