The hotel room itself is nicely renovated, with small perks like lots of power outlets, a tablet for an alarm clock, and an electronic mirror. It's a very comfortable stay.
A luxurious hotel that couldn't be more conveniently located if your destination is Penn! Great for visiting family or attending an event at the university. Also very close to the Market-Frankford subway line which will take you into the heart of Philadelphia's Center City in minutes.
I went here for lunch with a visiting speaker to my department along with some other members of my department and the food was pretty solid. It was buffet style with a small salad bar, some very nice fresh rolls, an entree option, a vegetable, a grain, a sandwich, soup and a very nice poundcake. I had no idea what to expect but I left pleased and satisfied. The dining room itself was pleasant as well.
Very nice and clean. Quiet and convienant. Valet parking was a little pricey but everyone was helpful and pleasant. From check in to parking I've had no problems
Great location, near 30th street station and subway stops. Rooms are recently renovated, clean, comfortable, elegant. Spacious and very nice bathrooms. Friendly, attentive staff.
However, the service from the valet was abominable. I called down one night, was told it would be a 15 min wait, then ended up waiting in the cold valet area for 30 more minutes. Altogether it took 45min to acquire my car, all the while with the valet communicating as little as possible and acting like it was not his problem since there "had been a shift change". The next morning during checkout, I again experienced a 25min wait this time. Rather than taking responsibility, the manager came out and gave 2 random poorly-thought out excuses without acknowledging the problems within his staff. Altogether, very dissatisfied with the valet service at what would otherwise have been a top-notch hotel.
