The hotel itself is wonderful. Friendly staff, clean rooms. But do yourself a favor and don't park in the attached parking garage! I stayed one night, had my car there for less than 24 hours and it cost me $42 just for parking. Outrageous, but I guess that's why the rooms were priced like they were.
My stay at the Windsor Suites was very pleasant. The room was incredibly spacious with more amenities than I was expecting and hoping for. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The location is fantastic. The Center City are of Philly is already very walkable, and Windsor is close to many things a visitor would like to see. My biggest complaint are for the elevators, which are exceptionally small given the size of the hotel/building, meaning increased wait times.
Staff- The staff at this hotel, particularly Brian at the check-in desk, were excellent. I received an upgrade and decided to stay an extra night and Brian was attentive, professional and kind. The valet attendants were prompt, professional and friendly. (One con was the very high parking cost...$42 a day. That was ridiculous, but, there is absolutely NO WHERE to park in this area of town, so, you have absolutely no other choice).
We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning next year.
Location- Although driving in this area of Philly is congested and frustrating due to no parking, small crowded streets and an inordinate number of very large trucks, the hotel is located in walking distances to prime sites and a bevy of eating and drinking locations. We literally walked to most places while at the Windsor.
Room- We had a suite with two double beds which was like a small apartment. My daughter and I LOVED it. A full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, dish washer, microwave and coffee pot and a dining room area with a living room made our stay a home away from home.
I would definitely come back the next time in town!!
The Windsor Suits was a great hotel. Rooms were some of the cleanest I've ever stayed in, staff was friendly and responsive, there is a Pub and Asian restaurant that is down stairs and gives 15% discount for guests staying there. The hotel is in a get location that is an easy half mile (10 min) walk from a ton of other restaurants.
Everything was perfect, from the moment I checked in. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The suite fully equipped kitchen area. I had a great view as well. I only wish my room had a balcony so I could take pictures of the city. Seems like every other room does. It also has 2 restaurants attached to hotel so you don't have to go far, if you don't want to.
