This program was made to make people feel safe until some kid gets punched acrossed the jaw, gets knocked out and lie sprawled out on the floor.

Do not send anyone here. By far the worst experience, they do not help what so ever. Staff/doctor/nurses don't do a thing about patients safety and feelings. All staff here are childish and don't take their job seriously, girls in here for anger should really be in juvenile detention, they pick on the "weak" and bully other people in there. You think you come here for help but everyday you're scared of these girls (animals) in here for anger. This place will keep your child in here for weeks just for the insurance money. This place is absolutely filthy and non professional, this place doesn't care how you feel they just want to medicate you and their paycheck. Also they are slow with everything!! They sit on their asses all day not doing their job. There's no outside or anything there's 1 room where a group is held and the groups they have here do not help, they are all about anger and useless things. This place deserves to be shut down.

A lot of these negative reviews sound like sour grapes to me. I was there for 2 1/2 weeks and found the experience extremely helpful. My meds were adjusted properly and I am feeling much better, thanks to Dr. Lee Silverman and, for the most part, a very pleasant and helpful staff. Rats? Patient abuse? Filthy? Rubbish! Yes, there were fights, between PATIENTS. If anyone was abused it was the staff, verbally and physically. And the only times I saw patients physically restrained and sedated were when they were acting out aggressively: throwing chairs, POUNDING on the glass of the nurses station, fighting, etc. I saw my social worker several times (Miss Jasmine), had a private therapist (Miss Becca) and could find staff anytime I needed to talk or vent. I NEVER saw even one instance of patient abuse. On N-5 the staff took a lot of flak and kept their cool. Most of the groups were about 45 minutes long and some patients didn't even bother attending. You reap what you sow; you have to invest in your own recovery, be it addiction or mental illness, or both. No one can do it FOR you. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I would wager a lot of these complainers expect someone else to do the work for them. After all, it isn't pleasant to confront your personal demons but for healing to occur it must be done. I would not hesitate to go back here (if I ever need to) and would recommend it to people I know. Stop your whining! Props to Miss Abigail, Miss Loretta, Mr. Owen and Mr. Maurice (N-2).

All of the positive reviews are lies I am a 14 year old child that grew up well and did good in school, unfortunately I was suicidal. I was mentally stable the previous day of entering this place. they made my life miserable from asking the same questions every day hearing the same answer every day, but that's not the worse part.

Sorry for any grammatical errors I have in this I can't help but be agitated at this monstrosity of a behavioral program

My 18 y/o daughter was admitted there for severe depression. The good things: most (but not all) of the staff was nice to her. The bad things: very poor communication, short therapy groups (they advertise 6 groups/ day, more like 2 or 3 lasting 15 min; the "movement therapy" is nothing more than putting some music to play and telling patients to start dancing...), there is no individual therapy. Most patients walking around bored. The psychiatrist (Dr Cohn) doesn't communicate with other doctors or family. The place is horrible, collecting insurance money for keeping patients out of the streets. If that's all you want, they do the job. If you are looking for a nurturing, therapeutic environment that can foster a healthy recovery, then this is not for you.

It was less than a week and someone gets knocked out in fact within 1 day I entered a fight broke out .

First off, I speak the truth and nothing but the truth. This place is hell on earth. What I experienced here was horrible. If you dont take your medication they get 6-8 people to pin you to the ground and inject you with medication. They also drug your food. These scumbags will even starve you for days to break your spirit. They would even go so far as to drag you to your room and corner you in there with 6-8 people to drug you against your will. These scumbags even drugged me against my will before my hearing so that i would be unable to function. They lie to you and tell you anything you want to hear. There is no outside youre locked in there like an animal. There is no smoke breaks just nicotine patches. They turn off the phone lines very frequently. They dont tell you if you received any calls. They want nothing more than to keep drugging you until you're incapable of functioning like a normal human being just to keep you there longer to milk the insurance money. They have patients on the inside who are actually informants too. I also was assaulted by a patient and the workers did nothing. Trust me this place is horrible anyone who says this place was nice or helpful in anyway is a liar. Dont believe them. May god be with those who enter their facility. Also don't reply to this... I won't give you scumbags the satisfaction of acting as if you will do something to correct your facility.
